Needless Complete Collection

While I wasn't expecting a great series it still actually surprised me at how entertained I did find it, the series feels like a mix of Naruto/Bleach/Ranma mixed together and while as expected there is a ton of fan service in the series the story and action made the series a lot more entertaining then first expected. The set gives you the entire series as well as the special OVA's as well, and while a little pricey($60.00)the series feels worth the price, though I'd advise people to check a few episodes online first just to make sure this is a anime series you'd enjoy. The animation and soundtrack fit nicely together and the voice cast did a very good job in their character roles, also yes unlike the first release this set does have the subbed and dubbed audio tracks. Other then the OVA's the extras aren't anything to shout about just the usual textless intro/ending songs and some trailers.Unlike another series I recently purchased many of these characters do endear themselves to you which is appreciated especially for myself after watching the previous series with much more dislike then expected.

Some have asked about the set case,sadly to say if you bought from Sentai Filmworks before you know about their set cases. What that means is that all five dvd's are stacked on one another on a single spindle inside a slightly bigger dvd plastic case,while there is hardened Styrofoam cushioning to keep the dvd's secure and not moving for the price of the set I was kind of hoping for a better quality case for this set. Also while some may have seen the OVA's they are only on the fifth dvd as the bonus feature the trailers will be on the four series dvd's.

I purchased this video based on its description without first watching it online. While it started off different than most that I normally watch, I found it entertaining enough that I actually had to stay up very late to watch it all the way thru.

The 24 episodes cover the story very well. It is organized in mostly chronological order, although story background is covered in several sections by having entire episodes dedicated to fully covering the background stories of various characters.

The focus of the story is a basic struggle against oppression with a very healthy dose of fan service included. Lots of magical powers, panty shots and humor mixed together well. Not recommended for kids.

the colors are bright and strong. i love the first parts theme song modern strange cowboy.

Breif overview*spoilers*

the place of this anime is set in japan after a bomb goes of and creates a sot in the land were things are .. different. people with strange powers appear and fight to control this area now called the black spot, which is under control of a pharmaceutics company called simion controlled by the villian. the people with odd powers are "needless" and have a fractal or power they use. the beginning and ending animations make this show look pervy but at most it shows a bouncing boob or girls bending over and having a tight butt. mainly girls are small with small breasts so this isnt a common factor.

the main charater is normal oddly enough and is searching for his sister with the help of his friends and is going to defeat simion. for some reason reminds me of gurren laggen dont know why. anyway its great, comedy,action,romance anime and you will enjoy it , please dont be fooled by the cover its a very clean anime i recommend to 15 and up ages

Picture This (2008)

Picture This! Is basically fluff, exactly what I was expecting. Teen romantic comedies have gone downhill since the days of 10 Things I Hate About You. But then again, this is a made for movie so expect exactly such.

The movie stars Ashley Tisdale Mandy, as a nice and smart, middle social class girl who has a crush on the hot and rich guy in school, who by the way is also perfect and has won every single medal in every single sport. He is Prince Charming. He finally notices her and invites her to his party as his date. But, Mandy is grounded and, thanks to her new video phone (tons of product placement in this movie), her dad is keeping tabs on her every half hour. Mandy must race against the clock and get in all sorts of implausible situations to go to the party and fool her overbearing father that she is studying at a friend's house. Between ruined clothes, allergies, towed cars, and a battle of the bands, Mandy has her work cut out for her. But, still to top it all up, the evil rich and popular girl is out to get her.

The movie is funny because it has so many implausible situations that you just have to go with it. The movie also shows the influence of technology and media in the current culture. Nice use of gadgets. Now, I must get that phone (the true main character of this movie!).

I saw the premire of this movie and although it is girl likes jock, popular girl declares Jock hers and tries to kill girl socially. It was a really cute father daughter (or parent letting go) movie. As a HS guaduite, I thought this was a great movie to watch with my mom, and i was right. Shes been having seperation issues, like Ashley's Dad, and it was a fun movie to watch and connect with. Even my teenage brother thought it was a hilarious movie, watching all the things Ashley has to go through. From phone punking her Dad to convincing an audience to pretend to be a DVD movie.

I thought it was a really good movie!

Great job Ash!

Oh one more thing I really liked about it is the main character stayed true to herself. She didnt let the guy use her.

Once again bought this movie for my 11 year old daughter and I probably enjoyed it more then her! Robbie Amell is real "Eye Candy" and Ashley Tisdale was very cute and funny in this movie. I loved the ending but wish it went a for a bit longer...it ended way to fast for my liking...but sometimes you can't win them all. I would recommend it to all. Some things went over my daughters head but all in all it was worth a watch! Loved Ashley singing in it! Would recommend to all who are Ashley and Robbie fans! I now am!!

Although this story is predictable, it is also packed with a lot of laughs and the great sounding Shadows of the Night by Ashley Tisdale. Very fun and well worth watching again and again. Tisdale rocks! Cute & adorable.

I rented this movie expecting just another average teenage comedy, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the actors/actresses played in the movie and lived up to the plot. The movie is basically about a girl named Mandy (Ashley Tisdale) who is not very popular in school and who is trying to date Drew Patterson (Robbie Amell).

The plan is to attend a big party to which Drew invites her to, but unfortunately as luck would have it she is GROUNDED by her dad for breaking some rules. She later convinces him that she is only going to go to "study" with her 2 other friends, but he insists in a BIG BROTHER way that she must check in every 30 minutes via video cell phone on how everything is going. That is when the real fun starts and things start to get real crazy! Mandy must do crazy things every 30 mins to try and make her dad believe she is actually at her friends house studying. The scariest part of the movie was when she is driving and her dad asks her "is that a horn I hear" and insists on showing him what she is doing. She takes the keys out of the ignition on a busy road covers her eyes while her friends steer the car. I don't recommend this at home, and it almost getting all three of them killed by nearly hitting a truck head on.

There are a lot more crazy things Mandy does to try and fake where she is. You will have to watch the movie to see if her dad finds out what she and her friends did and bust her. I don't want to spoil the fun.

I definitely recommend this movie to everyone. It is a funny as heck down to earth romantic comedy!

Ladybugs (1992)

This my favorite movie of all time!!!!!! I don't know what was with all of the people who said they thought it was terrible; me and everyone else I know who saw it absolutely LOVED it!!!!!!! One reviewer said that they thought that adolesant girls might find it amusing. We do. And so does everyone else on the planet (at least the ones that have senses of humor) Basically, everyone who isn't strict and uptight will get at least ONE laugh out of it (if not 400) All in all, I think it's a great movie, amazing (and VERY ORIGINAL)plot, with really good actors who pull the whole thing together and make it a movie that's definately worth seeing!

Ladybugs should be made available in every blockbuster AND on DVD. I may start a petition. It is one of the most amazingly hilarious movies I have ever had the privilege to watch. Do yourself a favor and sign my petition. The end.

This film has to be one of Rodney Danfield's best films of all time just to receive recognition for an older movie to come back on Blu Ray is an honor but this movie is definately worth it. The funny part of this movie is not the story line because it not the best story of all time like an Avatar but its the hilarious side jokes here and there that lets you know why Rodney is so funny. His timing on jokes are flawless, the way he gets out of trouble here and there during the movie is priceless. Even the comments that he had against other soccer coaches during the film. One scene the ladybugs were lossing very bad during the game and the assistant coach said "we still got a chance" and Rodney said "Some chance, like a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest." Now see you gotta laugh at something like that because the movie is full of little side jokes like it you dont see that type of comedy today and if you do you at least know where its origins started from.

I love the idea of this movie and I couldn't tell you the amount of times I watched it. At times, Rodney Dangerfield's character, Chester, grates on my nerves but there are so many laugh out loud moments that I can deal with it. Chester is trying to impress his boss and, to do so, agrees to coach the boss' daughter's soccer team. Unfortunately, the team sucks so he convinces his soon-to-be stepson to dress up like a girl and join the team.

If you enjoy fun, Disney-type teen movies, you'll love this. My favourite character is Chester's assistant, Julie, who has some fantastic lines. :-)
