Make The Yuletide Gay Blu-ray (2009)

Make The Yuletide Gay Blu-rayThis is is not a review of the movie but of the Blu Ray disc.

I own over 200 Blu Ray discs and this is the single worst I have ever seen. The DVD is better image quality than this disc. I didn't know it was possible to take such a high quality format to such a low performance level.

The movie has been grotesquely over corrected with noise reduction and edge enhancements. Portions of it look almost like a comic book due to lack of detail in darker areas. Didn't anybody actually watch this before approving its release? I would return it except that it is not the sellers fault that the studio released such poor quality.

The sound quality is excellent.

I really like this movie; I think it is one of Mr. Williams best. I was really looking forward to the Blu Ray but will now stick to the DVD for any future viewings.

We watch this every Christmas and love it each time. Great fun story. Mom and Dad are hysterical! Check it out.

Cop Out (Rock Out with Your Glock Out Edition) (2010)

Cop OutTo tell the truth, I wasn't looking forward to this film at all. I'm a pretty big fan of most of Kevin Smith's work, but he didn't write the film. It could be argued that he did write Jersey Girl and that could be considered a bomb, but his films usually average about $25-$30 million anyway. A Kevin Smith film isn't really about bringing in a large amount of money at the box office. His charm is in his writing, especially the dialogue and interaction between characters. There's a very specific audience his films will appeal to and none of them have really branched away from that. But him not writing this one made me think, "Eh. Not sure what that'll be like since he didn't write it." When it comes to Bruce Willis, I've never talked to anyone who dislikes him entirely. There always seems to be at least one of his films everybody enjoys. Die Hard, The Fifth Element, and Sin City are just a few off the top of my head. The real buzzkiller for me though was Tracy Morgan. He's just never been funny to me. He was beyond lame on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock has never been able to hold my attention for very long. Not to mention all the trailers for Cop Out didn't make me laugh. Thankfully though, first impressions can be so very wrong.

One of Cop Out's biggest charms is that it feels like a buddy cop comedy you've seen before, but have forgotten how much you enjoy it. The film feels similar to a 48 Hrs or Beverly Hills Cop film. Bulletproof is also a good example. Cop Out is pretty much what you expect when it comes to roles Bruce Willis chooses as it's pretty much no different than his role as John McClane on the surface, but he's a lot funnier this time around. As far as Tracy Morgan goes, the funniest thing I could remember him saying was his one line in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back ("Man... I don't know what the f--you just said, Little Kid, but you're special man, you reached out, and you touched a brother's heart.") until this film. He was downright hilarious at times. The only person who was funnier than Morgan was Seann William Scott who stole every scene he was in. Even though Kevin Smith didn't pen the script this time around, it still feels like a Kevin Smith film. It could be due to the fact that Jason Lee has a small role in the film, but I like to think it's because Cop Out offers the same kind of comedy you'd find in a Kevin Smith film with a bit more action. It also took me forever to place Scarface from Half Baked as Poh Boy.

Cop Out is surprisingly funny and incredibly entertaining. Give this film a chance even if the trailers may not be doing anything for you. I felt the same way and wound up thoroughly enjoying the film. After a long, stressful day at work, an R-rated comedy with a lot of laughs is one of the best ways to relax and this film offers just that. It's a great film to go into with no expectations other than to just have a good time. As long as you don't run out of the theater, you should catch the part in the credits. This might just be the funniest film released in 2010 thus far. Be sure to check it out. Highly recommended.

Those who have grown up watching the 80s police action films know the formula. Two cops, often long-time partners, investigate a murder case. Their investigation leads to gang-related crimes or corrupt authority. There are actions and laughs, and nice soundtrack music, too. "Cop Out" is, as one of the film's characters say, "homage" to the genre. But homage does not necessarily mean imitation.

"Cop Out" stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as NYPD cops Jimmy and Paul working as partners for nine years. They get suspended by the captain for messing up an undercover drug investigation, and Jimmy is forced to sell a very rare baseball card he owns. He needs money for the wedding party of his daughter Ava (cameo by Michelle Trachtenberg) who is getting married. A masked robber, however, breaks in the shop before he gets money, and takes his vintage card away. The veteran cops track down the stolen card, no matter what it takes, and the story somehow goes back to where it started: a drug lord (who loves baseball) and his gang.

This is a Kevin Smith film that is not written by Kevin Smith (written by Mark and Robb Cullen), and this is the most boring film he ever made. It is occasionally fun, I admit, thanks to the stars and Seann William Scott as s small-time crook (equivalent of Joe Pesci's character in "Lethal Weapon 3"), but random comically-inspired moments (ad-libbed, I suppose) do not make a good film. "Cop Out" drags for the most part of the hackneyed story despite the presence of talented cast including Kevin Pollack, Adam Brody, Ana de la Reguera, Guillermo Diaz and Jason Lee (regular of Kevin Smith films), plus the music by Harold Faltermeyer ("Beverly Hills Cop" and its sequel.

The film is made with an uninspired concept and half-hearted efforts, something Kevin Smith was not known for.

Cop Out(Feb/10)is,from beginning to end,a total yawnfest. Now I'll tell you what I really think. This is director Kevin Smith's film and the blame squarely rests on his and the script writers shoulders. They have Bruce Willis to work with for gosh sakes, how hard could it be?Mind you Robert Swentke completely blew it with a stellar cast which included Willis in RED,so it does happen. What does come across right away as the film is unfolding is the lack of chemistry between Willis and his co star Tracy Morgan. Some one tell me what it is with SNL alumni?A comedian or comedienne gets a bit of a following on the show, becomes a popular figure and suddenly Hollywood is courting them for film work,as if they're already bona fide stars. And many of the newer crop of comedy actors from SNL desperately NEED real acting skills and time to hone them.Tracy Morgan is without question, one of them.

The plot involves Willis and Morgan as two NYC cops.Willis' daughter is getting married and he hasn't enough cash.So when Willis goes to sell a mint baseball card to raise the money he is robbed.Afterwards Willis finds out who stole his card, but as it turns out, that robber has sold the card to a Mexican drug dealer, who now has it.

When Willis and Morgan show up at the dealers house an arrangement is made.In exchange for a car the dealer desperately wants,Willis will get his rare card back. They track down the car only to find the girlfriend of a dead rival of the dealer they are "working' for,in the trunk and very much alive. She is the reason the dealer is after the car as she possesses vital intel on a flash drive she has in her possession. The two guard her but she escapes on Morgan when Willis steps out.She unfortunately walks right into the gangs hands and the dealer has her as a hostage.

Now that the cops bargaining chip is gone,Willis decides to enter the gang house to get his card himself, but the gang arrives home ahead of schedule and he gets caught inside. He escapes but only has to re-enter with Morgan to rescue the girl. The dealer stands to the right of the girl with a shot gun to the back of her head. Two shots ring out,as Willis' pierces the dealers head and Morgans goes into the heart.Later examination reveals that Morgans shot went through a vest pocket first, containing Willis' prized card which is now garbage.

The film ends at his daughters wedding as Willis has had to let his ex-wife's boyfriend pay for the wedding. But just as both men stand up together as the minister asks who will stand for this bride,Morgan pulls the new hubby back down letting Willis have the honour alone.

The film should have ended about 10 minutes previously with some judicious editing. It was a film too far, with a plot too thinly stretched to take on 107 minutes. There is a silly sub plot with Morgan being totally insecure about his wife and her sexual habits when he is not home. Also Seann Scott shows up as the burglar who robs Willis of his card initially.Scott provides the film with a few of its only endearing moments as he mocks Morgan when they first meet.Scott shockingly dies after falling out of a tree, hitting his head on a brick wall(Smith shows us the hit-bad move!).However the dynamic of that moment does not gel with the mood and flow of the film at all. Finally Tracy Morgan's futile attempt at humour, which in his case is mugging severely and over acting with alot of cursing thrown in for good measure,is plain terrible. That Willis and Morgan could ever be partners in real life or not, would have taken an acting feat of herculean proportions to pull off the believability factor.

Technically speaking the film is it w/s a/r of 2:40:1 and it is clear and crisp.Extra include the trailer and deleted scenes.

All in all a total disappointment from beginning to end. This was a waste of Willis' time and it showed how far Morgan has yet to go when it comes to anything even approaching acting. His SNL antics are not going to cut it on film with a "performance" like this.Give the film a wide pass.

As a big fan of Bruce Willis for 25 years, and director Kevin Smith for 16 years, I hoped for movie magic when they teamed up on "Cop Out". I was VERY disappointed, though, and the film's biggest problem can be summed up in two words: Tracy Morgan. Unfunny, whining, and constantly mugging at the camera, Morgan may be Willis' worst co-star, ever (How bad is he? Seann William Scott, with less than 10 minutes of screen time, has more laughs than Morgan provides, the entire film). Willis spends most of "Cop Out" simply staring at Morgan and his unrelenting stream of chatter (director Smith, apparently, allowed him to ad lib at will).

It's supposedly a cop comedy (involving drugs, a kidnapped wife, and a stolen baseball card), and a 'hilarious' send-up of buddy films. It fails at both, and wastes the talents of Willis, Scott, Kevin Pollak, Adam Brody, Jason Lee, Guillermo Díaz, and Ana de la Reguera.

It simply isn't worth buying...What a mess!

Down by Law (The Criterion Collection) (1986)

Down by LawThis "Down By Law" DVD is a perfect example of why I love the Criterion Collection's catalog. First off, the film looks and sounds fantastic. If you are familiar with this film, you are aware of Lurie's incredible soundtrack. The DVD does not disappoint. Visually, it is stunning. If this DVD package only delivered these elements, I would be happy. But, this DVD is filled to the gills with extras. Not only are there extras, but a double disk of extras! Remember, this is "Down By Law", not LOTR, Star Wars I, etc. This is a borderline cult/ art house film with a small, but strong fan base. Never, never, never would another company pour as much love and energy for the DVD of a film of this type. Take for example "Stranger than Paradise:" no face lift and no extras. "Down By Law" DVD notables: the entire Cannes press conference, Lurie interview for French TV in 1986 plus his 2002 commentary on his interview, extensive audio tracks of Jim Jarmusch discussing the film and answering fans QA (sent from the Criterion web site Was Tom Waits really drunk? What does 'Down By Law' mean?), Robby Muller interview, Tom Waits video directed by Jarmusch with commentary, etc. etc, etc.

If you are a fan, there is no reason to miss this one. If you are curious about Jim Jarmusch as a director, this is the DVD to start on. A flawless package.

I can't say enough good things about the "Down By Law" Criterion DVD! The high-definition digital film transfer is wonderful and it really shows off Robby Muller's breathtaking b/w camera work. The DVD has 2 discs and the packaging is well done. The first disc contains the film itself and the second disc is packed full of goodies such as the insightful "Thoughts & Reflections" from director Jim Jarmusch, a "2002 Video Interview" with director of photography Robby Muller, "1986 Cannes Film Festival Press Conference" with Jarmusch and cast members John Lurie, Roberto Benigni & Nicoletta Braschi that is fun to watch, a great "1986 Interview" with John Lurie + his hilarious commentary on the interview, a bunch of film "Outtakes" which feature some great never before seen bits (especially with Lurie!) a terrific Tom Waits music video for "It's All Right With Me" also directed by Jarmusch and 3 wonderful recorded phone conversations from 2002 that Jarmusch had with Waits, Benigni and Lurie about making "Down By Law", etc.

The extras on the DVD give an intimate view of this very personal film and are amazing to watch and listen to. It's so complete that I can't imagine what else could be added to the Criterion release to make it more perfect. Many years from now when Jarmusch and the cast have left this sad and beautiful world, this gem will no doubt be a priceless look at one of the best American films ever made by one of America's best directors. Fantastic! One of the best films Criterion has released.

I haven't seen all of Jarmusch's films, but I've seen plenty (Ghost Dog, Mystery Train, Stranger than Paradise, Dead Man) to know this is probably gonna go down as my favorite of them all. Jarmusch and photographer Mueller do a brilliant job setting everything up. Its style is as classic and effective as the film noirs of the 1950s, including the seedy characters, the dialogue, and the moody jazz courtesy of John Lurie, one of the film's stars. Story wise, we're dealing with two lowlifes, a pimp and a recently fired DJ, who don't know each other, who are each set up and sent to prison for crimes they didn't commit. They are thrown in a cell together, and eventually an Italian who accidentally killed a man after cheating at a game of cards (hit him with an 8-ball--CLASSIC!) and find a way to escape. John Lurie is the pimp, Tom Waits is the DJ, and Robert Benigni makes his American film debut as Bob, the Italian. (Ironically, he is the kindest, funniest, most jovial of the trio, yet he is the only one who actually is guilty of the crime he's in for).

I've read the other reviews, and I'm dissapointed in why some people don't like the film. First off, I believe that Criterion has once again given us a top of the line DVD transfer. The extras are great for folks that are into the "hows" and "whys" of a film, as I am, and the transfer itself is clear and beautiful to watch.

The acting may not be the best (Lurie was adequite), the dialogue and storyline are right out of the 50s, and help the mood of the entire thing. The characters are introduced perfectly so that we don't really need to know why they're being set-up. Our imagination can do the walking for us there. We know they're both kind of shady guys, and there are any number of reasons why someone would wanna see them put away, or use them so that someone else doesn't get caught.

And as far as the reviewer wondering why we don't see the dogs, only hear them; don't see the escape, only the afterwards; and don't see the prison, only their cell, the answer is simple: its an indie film made before indie's were all the rage. Jarmusch could only afford so much, and I find that he did an incredible job giving us all the necessary information without having to show us everything that was going on. The only thing I might raise an eyebrow to is Bob and Nicoletta (Benigni's real life wife) falling in love in under an hour or two. But hey, sometimes, if its worth it, you gotta suspend reality. The chemistry between the two characters is enough for me to believe they're in love, so who am I to argue!

All in all, this is one of my favorite movies to watch. Criterion did a great job with this DVD, and at the very least, its a fun flick in the noir tradition, with a bit of a smart-ass underworld, beatnick edge to it.

...but that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

This unique and original film is a personal masterpiece, a real sleeper. I'd recommed it to anyone interested in non-formula American cinema in general, and fans of the macabre. It ranks up there with some of the better black and white movies of recent times, in the mold of Woody Allen's "Manhattan".

What made this film great for me, was that the director masterly chose to leave out extraneous footage and instead keep our focus on character development much the way Jean Luc Goddard does. Indeed Goddard's stamp is felt everywhere in this picture, which is why I liked it so much. This is America's answer to neorealism and done very well. The fact that we don't really see exactly how the main characters escape from prison, nor do we see how Zack rescues Bob from his fear of swimming add (rather than detract from) the plot, and give us more time with the personal nature of the characters, their "everyday chit-chat", etc, is what gives this film its charm. I won't give away the ending, but even that is told in an unorthodox manner, which is a breath of fresh air from formula Holywood films.

The acting is surprisingly naturalistic and believable, and Tom Waits gives an especially brilliant performance here. Roberto Bernini is hilarious as the sort of comic sidekick to the two streetwise contenders of the trio this is a truly original chemistry of character mixes, and the film could have taken the more traditional path of "straight-guy/goofy-guy" as in Laurel & Hardy or Abbot & Costello, but instead wisely opts to break new ground by having two "straight" characters that battle it out for leadership.

The "We All Scream for Ice Cream" segment is one of the funniest bits I've seen in a film in years and should be one of those rare legendary film icons by this point.

The DVD transfer is wonderful a crisp, clean print that looks great onscreen. Criterion have done yet another great job here.

This is a gem of a movie and I highly recommed it!

Zack (Tom Waits) has just been fired from his job as a DJ and he is thrown out by his girlfriend. Jack (John Lurie) is offered another prostitute under his wings as a pimp by a competitor who wants to make amends. The circumstances lead to both men being framed and they end up sharing a cell in prison. Both men are bitter over their situation and they can hardly stand each others company. One day the peculiar Roberto (Roberto Benigni) is put in the same cell with Jack and Zack. This is the beginning of a new friendship between the three men where Roberto is the glue that holds the friendship together. Down by Law is an intelligent and cynical film that is presented in an anxious societal situation, which provides amusement for the audience.

Evil Aliens (Unrated & Theatrical Edition) (2005)

Evil AliensI'm gonna try to keep this review short and sweet.

First off, if you don't like low/decent budget, then don't bother.

If you do like gore, then you need to try and watch this.

Ok. Now `Evil Aliens' starts off, right away, with a sex scene (which you see nothing but a dudes booty) where a guy is pounding away like a jack rabbit, right in the middle of some very large stones that form a circle. Now that is just a no no in my horror movie experience. And boy was a I right...especially if you're fond of not getting anal probed by aliens. Woah woah woah my friends. Don't get aroused just yet. Yes, we got aliens destroying a mans backside and cutting a woman's gut open to throw an alien fetus in her belly within 5 minutes of the movies beginning, but that does NOT mean this movie is good. Yet. I almost took the movie out honestly. It got pretty boring even with it's blatant humor. Thank goodness the girl named Michelle Fox was in there showing off cleavage... a lot. So I trudged on through. Michelle Fox works for like a Enquirer type of TV show and she's on a mission to get this girl that's impregnated on her show. By the way, she doesn't believe in it and she just thinks she's just trying to get attention. So on the way to Ireland (I think this is where they went), she grabbed her favorite cameraman and boom operators, an actress to play the part of the prego chick (re-enactment footage), another actor whose gay to play the guy and the alien, and a nerdy kid who is in charge of the British UFO club or something to that matter. They meet the sister and her 3 insane brothers (who are AWESOME). They investigate stuff and film things. Pretty boring first half of the movie.

And then the half way point comes. The baby grows up... inside the prego chick. She rips through the girls face and uses the body as her own. Now I'm awake! What just happened?! I was not expecting this. Then there is a dang showdown in the fields between the aliens and the three brothers that could compete with the O.K. Corral scene in Tombstone. Calm down, I'm seriously just joking about that comment. But the field scene was very fun and had plenty of gore splatter everywhere. The gore doesn't stop there either, there is plenty more to come. Also Michelle Fox became less hot to me and the actress girl became my new favorite. She kinda looks like a hotter version of Rebecca Gayheart... you know... the Noxzema girl. Well she picks up a shotgun and seriously got 10x hotter than Michelle Fox. Blasting aliens away while holding an extra shell in her mouth. LOVE. I couldn't help but just shake my head at the crazy stuff these guys did for the gore in the movie. It was pretty dang fun during the second half.

So yeah, if you can make it through the first half, I'm pretty sure you'll like the second. I was seriously going to give this 1 star until the second half started. By no means is this movie great, but dang if it didn't try..lol.

*EDIT* I forgot to mention, there is no nudity in here. Well a guys booty and two topless aliens (one with three boobs), but that's it.

Normally to see a great 'crowd pleaser' movie you have to watch something from Disney, Spielberg, or Jerry Bruckheimer. But with them you get no crude humor, drug use, or gratuitous amounts of gore. You have to admit, it would be nice just for once to see a movie fearless enought to do that. Enter Evil Aliens a movie made to please a crowd that has no boundries, not even on movie genres. It's part sci fi, part horror, part comedy and it even breaks the rules for those three genres as well. The comedy ranges from oldstyle slapstick to drug references (I can't think of another movie with that range). The gore is so creative and off the wall that it leaves you laughing in amazement, instead of puking in the corner. And it breaks all the rules of sci fi by not being family orientated in any way, shape or form. Let's face it you could watch any of the Star Trek movies with your kids and grandparents. And remember how upset those Star Wars fans were when they saw the original Alien movie because it had blood and was scary. Those same folks would need to change their pants if they saw this. Unfortunately, this great movie didn't get the wide release it deserved. I myself saw it during a midnight madness showing. I am glad it has finally been released on dvd now the many, many people I have been reaving about it to can finally see it.

This movie is unbelievably cool & gory as all get out!! Anyone who's ever enjoyed silly type slapstick horror titles such as "Evil Dead 2", "Army Of Darkness", "Undead", "Dead Alive", "Shaun Of The Dead" (Shaun still did it best hands down :P) or "Feast" will get a swift kick outta this film. Nothing you really need to know plot wise other than there's a show that does investigative reporting in Europe about Aliens & UFO's. A silly rag tag group is assembled to go investigate an Alien abduction. And then just lots of blood, guts, more blood, & more guts. There's more to it than that, but not to spoil things, that's all you'll need to know going in. If you've ever enjoyed any of the films I listed above watch this movie, it's destined to be a classic & you'll love every minute of it!!! "ENGLISH!!!" *Ptew*

Funny,

excessively gross violence, play on aliens and crop circle fanatics.

They must have gone through a vat of molasses for all the blood and

gore. Kind of a Jerry Springer on crack alien movie. If you can live

through the first 10 minutes of this one the rest is gravy. It's got

a good spoof on the song 'Brand New Key' by Melanie, as they mow down

evil aliens with a combine harvester...Fun Welsh anti English

sentiment too. Great punch line in the end.

This is a sweet movie. I agree with the other reviewer jbizzle. Sure it may not appeal to everyone, but it definitely should appeal to fans of the afformentioned films, such as evil dead. It was great gory fun and I can't get enough of movies like this. The 80's was famous for flicks like this; at least the late 80's that brought about extreme gore and over the top type of things. Watch for the part with the combine...classic. I also recently checked out this other low budget flick called Vampire Wars: Battle for the Universe. And I was pleasantly surprised with that movie as well. I recommend checking it out it was a good gory vampire film

Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008)

Zack and Miri Make a PornoFirst there was Kevin Smith, with his patented brand of hugely over-the-top raunch in CLERKS. As he "matured," he added a level of true feeling behind this work in CHASING AMY. And then he sort of lost his way with a few pretty awful films. Meanwhile, Judd Apatow established himself as the King of Sweet Raunch with 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, KNOCKED UP, SUPERBAD, etc. In these films, the characters spoke about sex with a level of filthy detail never before heard. They indulged in reckless behavior. They were the kinds of people films had for decades told us were "bad." Yet we recognized people we knew in them, or even ourselves. They were also infused with an innocence and an acknowledgement that behind all the strutting bluster, we all just want to be loved. They acknowledged the weakness in men, and the strength in women who can make these men pull themselves up by their bootstraps and start to take life seriously. This was the Apatow "brand."

Now Kevin Smith has come storming back to reclaim his part of that little mountain. While his ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO doesn't re-establish him as King, it reminds us that Apatow and others owe him a debt...and that he's still capable of out-raunching the raunchiest stuff we've seen. And, as will be no surprise to anyone who has seen the trailers for the film, he mixes in the "sweet" stuff pretty well too.

The presence of Apatow disciple Seth Rogan makes the film seem more like an Apatow film than perhaps it really is. For example, in movies like SUPERBAD, there is actually relatively little sex being had. Characters talk about it, and they sure would like to be indulging in it...but not much happens. In ZACK & MIRI, a great deal of sex is had and shown. It is a far more visually explicit movie than Apatow's (the full frontal male nudity in WALK HARD being a notable exception). I wouldn't want to compare the level of explicit imagery in the dialogue side by side with a SUPERBAD, but I suspect that ZACK & MIRI is also verbally just a smidge more explicit as well.

Zack (Rogan) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) have been friends since first grade, and now, on the eve of their 10th High School Reunion, they are roommates sharing a rundown rental and one very run down car. They both have dead-end jobs and apparently no ambition. They also have not paid bills in quite awhile. While neither seems exactly HAPPY with life, both are content in the little routines they have to get through the day.

Miri forces Zack to go with her to the reunion, because she's hoping to shamelessly throw herself at the "boy" she crushed on in school (Brandon Routh). Zack, meanwhile, has an interesting conversation with this guys boyfriend (a hilarious Justin Long, as we've never seen him), who apparently is a well-known gay porn actor. Naturally, Miri is crushed to find this guy she intended to sleep with is gay, but the two are more upset to find their hot water and electricity has been turned off. But Zack comes up with the "great" idea to make a pornographic movie in order to pay their bills.

I won't dwell on the specifics anymore, but you can imagine how things might develop. The two hapless friends have no money and no video camera, so they have to turn to friends to underwrite their crazy venture, and an unlikely troupe of filmmakers develops. There are obligatory scenes of auditions and the struggle to come up with the right title for the film. (If this weren't a "family" site, I'd share a few...the one involving a twist on LAWRENCE OF ARABIA just about made me spew soda through my nose)

It's all quite, quite raunchy. While not literally as explicit as a real porn film, not all that much is held back. I can sure see why Smith had to fight to avoid an NC-17 rating. Under absolutely no circumstances to you want to see this film with your kids...no matter how old your kids are!

Will Zack & Miri find out they are right for each other? Will doing porn ruin their discovery? The film holds few plot related surprises, frankly. It is the verbal dazzle that keeps you entertained.

And the performances. Seth Rogan pretty much gives us the same character again...but he does have an ease about his acting that makes him enjoyable. His characters may be insecure, but Rogan is not. But it is Elizabeth Banks who surprises the most. I've seen her in a lot of smaller roles (on "Scrubs", for example) and to be honest, she's struck me as vaguely perky but lightweight. Here, it is frankly a bit startling to see her right in this raunchy mix, her mouth as dirty as anyone else. Smith has empowered her, that's for sure (don't know if that's a good thing for "society" or not). She also finds some true depths in Miri, particularly as the film winds down, that elevate her performance to a special level. It's not Oscar winning stuff, exactly, but it will make people sit up and take notice of her. This, and her praised performance in W., have made it quite a good year for her.

The movie is hilarious. That's what you want to know, isn't it? My wife and I both laughed uproariously many time. It will offend you, too. Smith loses control a few times, with some random scenes that grind the story to a halt. Most revolved around the character played by Jason Mewes (better known as "Jay" in a myrid of Smith's earlier films) a young man who makes it into the film due to some "special talent." He's funny, but his stuff seems out of place...as though Smith stopped his movie to let his old buddy riff on some dirty stuff. There's also some stuff about a constipated actress that devolves into the nastiest couple of seconds you've ever seen, that even so are unbelievable, unlikely, unfunny AND distract from a key moment for the story.

(By the way, I apologize if I've offended anyone with the review...tough to talk much about this film without stretching the boundaries a little. If you find my review offensive...please skip the film.)

Overall, Smith has made a funny and sometimes tender film. If Judd Apatow had never existed, this film would be groundbreaking. Now it is a familiar formula, with the raunchy dial turned to 11. But, if that's something you've enjoyed before, you'll get many big laughs from ZACK & MIRI!

I won't beat around the bush: "Zack and Miri" is easily one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It's a laugh riot from beginning to end, and even after the credits role (hint hint).

There is no disguise or misdirection; it's exactly what is expected. It's foul-mouthed concoction of obscenities, smut, juvenile humor, tons of pop-culture references, and a good deal of smart dialogue. It's parody at the pinnacle of the genre, making fun of the 70's and 80's porn industry, when it was in a developmental and transitional phase before today's high-end adult films or so I've heard anyway. Make no mistake; however, there is also a very serious approach taken (which gets a bit sappy), and true devotion and respect is paid to not only porn (which is odd), but also the hilariously crass Smith (Apatow-esque) comedy (which is expected). Smith nails it.

There are countless highlights and laughs throughout. The best scenes, however, are those leading up to filming of the cheesy porn. Selecting the name for the movie, coming up with "Star Whores" (and hilarious names for the rest of the series), while ripping through raunchy variations of several other movies, almost made me convulse from laughter. Some may have a problem believing Seth Rogen as a porn star, thinking the concept as real as the silicone on a typical adult set, but Ron Jeremy pretty much negates that argument. There is no doubt, however, that Elizabeth Banks could easily be a megastar if she were to turn to the dark side. Their onset chemistry is definitely what makes the movie work.

It's definitely not for the easily offended. I'd go so far as to say that it's a fairly smart comedy if one can get around perpetual F-Bombs. It's a witty movie about raunchy intercourse that pushes the socially inhibition and sexually awkward buttons.

The way I see it, there are two groups of people who will watch this movie. One group knows what they are getting into; they're going to see a Kevin Smith flick that is sure to be crude and contain poop humor. The other group will be people who will frown at the profanities and cover their eyes at the vulgarity. To the former I say: You'll absolutely bust a gut watching this movie. I know I did. To the latter I say: What the heck were you expecting? Are you really so dumb as to not know what you were about to watch? It's called "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" for goodness sakes! Go watch a nice chick-flick or a documentary instead.

In closing, this was the best comedy of 2008, and it's not even close. They are so devoted to concept of this movie that there is even a guy on the crew named Buster Pile! I kid you not. Hilarious.

Buy Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008) Now

I had the luxury of seeing this film on the big screen with a friend. Having seen reviews we knew to expect it to be funny, but also that it would be crude. It was that and more.

Be aware that like many of Judd Apatow's films Zack and Miri includes 'bonus' full frontal footage (male, full frontal footage that is) to add to the humor and/or shock value. Expect at least a couple of those type scenes and don't say you weren't forewarned before watching the film.

Once past that issue, viewers should also be aware that there's one scene that isn't for those with a weak stomach. It's quite funny, but also incredibly crude and honestly surprised me that it made it past the MPAA on the way to the R rating that the film carried when it was aired in theatres. You'll likely find it nearly impossible not to laugh, but it's also going to be something you'll want to turn away from. Note that I don't want to spoil the film or the scene, but you'll be able to see what's coming and can probably figure out in advance what I'm referring to so you should also be able to be prepared.

The film itself is not just funny and crude (and lewd as well), it's also, as promised on the quote from Time magazine critic Richard Corliss on the cover art for the Blu-ray disc "Sweet, Funny and Sexy." While writer/director Kevin Smith was obviously going for cheap humor, he opted to wrap it up nicely in a sweet tale of two down on their luck friends. Thanks to a very funny supporting cast, everything works pretty well and makes the end result a film that should crack you up.

What isn't included on the Blu-ray, unfortunately, is a commentary from the director. Smith decided not to do a commentary track for the current release of the film. Whether one will be done in the future likely depends on sales of the film on disc as well as whether or not Smith ever finds time to go back and record it. Even without a commentary track the film includes a substantial load of special features including a making of featurette, a large number of deleted scenes, outtakes and other fun stuff.

The video quality is very good. Not necessarily what technophiles would label as reference quality, but still very good. Kevin Smith's films don't necessarily live or die by their cinematography, but it also couldn't be said that he doesn't care about such things either. Knowing that Smith's films are more about the dialoge and character interactions, you might expect the video to be apparently less important, but that really isn't the case here.

Sound quality on the Blu-ray has raised some concerns for some viewers. I've seen complaints that the audio levels are low requiring some viewers to crank the volume a bit so as not to miss the dialogue. That's very much a your mileage may vary type thing as the results on different sound setups vary. Just be aware you may find yourself cranking the volume a bit more for this disc than you might normally do.

One final complaint that may come up depending upon where you buy your copy of this disc you may find that you get different cover art than you see at other outlets. Some retailers are using different cover art that somewhat censors the packaging. Something about the use of the P word makes some retailers nervous. :-p

Kevin Smith fans probably long ago considered this must buy material. Non-fans may be reading the reviews (like this one) to help make up their mind. Again, I'd caution that you should know going in that it is crude and lewd, but as long as you aren't easily offended you might find it quite funny. For me it's definitely worth the purchase.

I had heard great things about this movie and was excited to watch it. Unfortunately, only the first thirty minutes or so were worth watching. The beginning was hilarious and Justin Long was brilliant! After that, a romance sprang from nowhere and it really made the rest of the movie hard to watch. I felt like I had to sit through the out-of-place romance in order to get to the likeable parts of the movie. On a side note, I also find it hard to believe that the characters of Zack and Miri would be best friends for 20 years and still so awkward around each other. It just made the movie less enjoyable for me. I say watch the first half hour and move on.

Three stars only for Justin Long's excellent performance.

The War of the Roses (Filmmaker Signature Series) (2012)

The War of the RosesHow do you hold on to someone who want stay and how do you get reed of someone who want leave?

Oliver and Barbara (Douglas and Turner) meet at the auction. With instant chemistry between the two they are soon married. Typical American family perfect house, 2 children, work-slave husband and bored wife. As time goes by, Barbara realizes that she no longer likes Oliver and asks for a divorce. Unfortunately for her Oliver is still crazy about her, but agrees to give her the divorce. And as we all though this would be just another civilized split, all hell breaks loose. Barbara wants to keep the house that she found and decorated, but Oliver (who paid for it) will not give it up either. And after an advice from his lawyer (DeVito) he moves back into the house. While Barbara is determined to get Oliver to leave and Oliver is trying to rekindle the romance, there civilized coexistence quickly becomes very interesting.

Believe it or not I have not given much of the movie away. Yes, you now know what the basic story is, but to watch it is a completely different. Three of the return after two successful movies and deliver performances that's unmatched by anything else in there carriers. This film is one of the darkest comedies you'll ever watch. And I believe that everyone should watch it at least once. It'll make you think twice about a lot of things in life. Absolutely brilliant. An ending that will stay with you for a long time.

And when a person making $400.00/hr wants to tell you a story for free, you should listen to it.

It'd be a little redundant at this point out this film is a black comedy. That'd be like stating that Scream is a horror movie. But what exactly makes War of the Roses so funny yet so bleak? In my opinion it's the same type of entertainment one gets from listening to really nasty juicy gossip. Like when your tech-ed teacher tells you why it's bad to get your hair or fingers too close to the sanding machines.

The film is narrated by DeVito, a lawyer retelling a tale he lived through when dealing with a once happily married couple... an especially materialistic married couple! So the entire movie switches from 'past' to 'present,' focusing mostly on the story of the soon to be unhappy lovers. After their so-called civil divorce, they are both determined to keep the dream house they both contributed to, and Oliver, the once husband, is determined to keep his former wife, Barbara, who can't stand him to the point of making them both miserable! From here, the story just gets crueler and more bizarre...

So if you're the type of person who likes to listen to stories where terrible things happen to ordinary and fallible people, if you watch car races to see a crash, or you laugh during the news, chances are you'll enjoy this movie, and other black comedies for that matter. If you like stories with resolve or warmth, or if you're an animal lover, you best stay clear of this unrelenting comedy classic.

So why four stars? Well, perhaps I just recognize that there are some people who will find this movie hysterical, and some who will just plain not find it funny at all.

Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas star in this movie with a chemistry greater than either of their previous films together, namely Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile. Their shared screen time is filled with a frenzied mixture of passion, anger, lust, devotion, and resentment, a relationship that, however abstract and unrealistic it is skewed in this movie, reflects what's left of a lot of relationships once the lust leaves the marriage, or once a couple finally spends some time together (i.e. after the kids have left the nest).

It has been a long standing joke that once the kids go to college or leave the nest, many spouses find themselves wondering: "Who the hell did I marry?" Things that were never noticed now are found nagging; a sensitive husband suddenly becomes controlling; a neat homemaker suddenly becomes obsessively compulsive; a mother, now that her duties are cut, becomes anxious to get out of the house. This is exactly what this movie relates, from the Roses' passionate meeting, to their years of "struggle" as Douglas' character builds his career to support his growing family, to their subsequent wealth and success, and finally a lull is reached when they are wealthy and suceessful, yet they have nowhere seemingly left to go.

One of the things that a lot of viewers seemingly miss while watching the movie is the greater picturethe Rose's marriage was one built on attraction and lust. While that has been enough to sustain many marriages, this is not the case here. After the lust leaves the marriage the couple begins to notice every irritating thing the other half does, which is what happens in a lot of marriages. The difference here is that their personalities, both being uncompromising, ambitious, and, yes, more than a tad sadistic, cause Turner's and Douglas' characters to take things past the point where any realisic (i.e. amiable) seperation is possible.

Perhaps it is just me, but if anything I find this movie to affirm marriage, as long as it takes place out of mutual love and respect, not just lust. Sure this movie delivers plenty of shock power and may leave you with a feeling of bitterness, but overall this, as Devito's character (a lawyer and the narrator) mentions, is a "cautionary tale." Keep that in mind and you will find yourself wriggling in your seat with laughter and shock from the onscreen antics as Douglas and Turner terrorize each other onscreen.

I have heard of this movie before but I had no idea what kind of a ride I was about to be taken on and let me tell you this flick is crazy! Here you have a man and a woman who have a good marriage and suddenly it goes kablam! They are like the ham and cheese cafeteria sandwich cut in half and placed with their backs to each other; the angry lovers on opposite sides of the bed...

Watching Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner slowly descended to a discord in their relationship, more her than him, is a never ending guillotine of a ride. The trials and tabulations in the movie are a parody on a bad marriage gone funny with opposite sides playing a Civil War witch each other, as neither one wants to move out of the "gorgeous" house they have made together.

Yes this movie is about a house and two stubborn people who play nasty tricks ala' Home Alone on each other with no mercy, often drawing some major laughs out of anyone who watches it.Also I need to give props to the climactic ending which is quite shocking and makes you think about this black comedy longer then you though possible as this story is quite intricate and has some great and funny outcomes, its not some empty comedy that gives you headache at the end or makes you angry about missing two hours of your life. This film is smart, funny, has the husband and wife ruin each others house parties, cars, jobs, friends and behave as if they are above all laws and just when you think they will patch it up some crazy event interrupts them with a mound of consequences growing like a hungry volcano. And the you watch it erupt! Enjoy.

This is possibly one of my best movies of all time. The fact that a wonderful marriage started out with a huge family house and nice cars always meant that disaster at some point in the marriage would strike.Michael Douglas is at his very best in this film and when his wife one day turns round to him and says " Everytime i see your face i want to smash your face in" he has more than a battle on his hands to keep his estate. Danny Devito also plays a part as his wisdom is needed as a lawyer to sort out the messed up situation. This film is very gripping and the humour of the film is tremendous. A must see and buy film straight away, it will under no cicumstances dissappoint you unless you are currently filing for a divorce!

Hair (1979)

HairIf "Hair" were only a period piece, it would still be wonderful entertainment but it's so much more. Previous reviewers have already spoken for me in praising this film's astonishing energy, its fine acting (not stereotypes, but iconic characters), and its forever-fresh-as-a-summer-flower soundtrack. I can only agree with them completely, and add my positive vote to theirs. This is a highly (no pun intended) recommended film!

But I'd like to emphasize something else now. Those reviewers who complain about the film being dated are missing an important point. Love, friendship, joy, exuberance these things are never out of date. And it raises an interesting question: why are some people so embarrassed and downright afraid of the so-called "hippie-dippy" aspect of this movie, and the years it captures so well? Possibly because it goes against the current wisdom, which claims that the uglier and nastier and more downbeat something is, the truer it is.

Well, no one is claiming that this is a perfect world far from it! but there is still plenty of joy and beauty and magic to be found in it! Yes, in too many ways it's a more cynical world now ... which is all the more reason to celebrate and uphold those naïve, utterly necessary values. Don't be afraid of looking foolish, don't worry about having to be cool and detached all the time, don't be afraid to embrace the Universe and exult in it let the sunshine in!

I saw "Hair" three times in two days when it first came out in the theaters, and I have watched it every chance I've had since then. I was 12 when the Vietnam War ended, but the anti-war passion of this film hits me anyway. Beyond that, there are great performances by Treat Williams, Beverly D'Angelo (who, as one other reviewer pointed out, is one of the great underrated actresses working today) and John Savage. And beyond THAT there is the astonishing music -"Aquarius" (sing along, now), "Hair", "I Got Life" and "Let the Sun Shine", which makes tears run down my face every time I see it, even if I see it for the 100th time. This is a magnificent piece of filmmaking, and I don't care if the Broadway show was better or different or more soulful or whatever -each product stands or falls on its own. "Hair" stands proud 20 years after it was made, and I think it's going to stand proud for a long time to come. To the reader in Israel -I hope you get to go to Woodstock!

Yes, 5 STARS! That said, I find my rave of this film odd...I can say that "Hair" is the worst film I've ever loved. And I don't mean "worst film" in that "B-Movie, Camp Classic, so bad it's good..." What I mean to say is that there are major weaknesses in this production, but the strengths outweigh the minuses to the point that I still say 5 STARS and MUST SEE! Let me pick on the movie's sorry points first: I was one of those Hair fanatics in my teens (late 70s, there were lots of us "Boy weren't the 60s cool?" types back then), and I loved the storyline of teen hippie Claude Bukowski's fantasies about becoming a Brit instead of a Flushing, NY middle class adolescent, being a blossoming film producer, debating whether to answer Uncle Sam's draft notices... the film transforms Claude into an Oklahoma boy who befriends hippies in NYC, and he breaks out singing "Manchester, England" (in the play, Claude's theme song where he proclaims himself a Brit and film mogul) out of nowhere, with no explanation as to why he's singing these lyrics(other than another character saying "he just got off the boat," when in fact, he arrived to New York by bus). Mix a few other songs that have nothing to do with the story with some embarrassing dialogue, and you will cringe, looking for the exit sign.....BUT WAIT! There's more, and it's damn good! Whether the songs fit the plot or not, whether lame lines lead into the musical numbers, the dance choreography and singers keep this film in the "worth your $$$$$ and time" range. Dance legend Twyla Tharp choreographed this potential mess into a beautiful display of dance. She put such a unique spin into the dance numbers that even a "layman of dance" like myself could appreciate. I am still floored every time I see numbers like "Aquarius," "Ain't Got No," and "Hare Krishna." I have become a fanboy of Ms. Tharp; you see this creativity in her dance numbers just shy of coming off as esoteric to a layman like myself, but instead of talking down to me, it wins me over. It's artsy, yet salacious enough to seduce my senses! Add actors with a sweet presence like Treat Williams, Dorsey Wright, Beverly D'Angelo and John Savage to the mix, and the bad dialogue doesn't hurt as much as it should! Melba's Moore's rendition of "Aquarius" is fantastic; this might sound like sacrilege to "Hair" fanatics, but this version of "Aquarius" matches up with Ronnie Dyson's in the Original Broadway Cast. This DVD is great viewing, even if you've never experienced "Hair" before!

Hair is a movie near to my heart; I saw it when it was released (I was ten) and loved it, enchanted by the music. As an adult I find it still works.

What's remarkable is that Forman created film that has endured out of a stage play that hasn't. Ever wonder why the show hasn't been revived on Broadway? Well, that would be because it's a horrifically grating, plotless mess...

Which is why it's wonderful to hear the really great music, minus the awful book. The movie imposes a simple plot, nothing terribly interesting but totally serviceable. Performances are mostly dead-on, with a fantastic cameo by a young Nell Carter (another by Betty Buckley). Twyla Tharp's sharply lyrical choreography manages to feel completely impromptu and totally intentional. Impressive cinematography makes it a great film to look at, too, especially the devastating shot of soldiers boarding a transport plane at dawn.

Of course, the messy play much better reflects the 60s than this well-ordered film. But which would you rather watch?

I grew up with Reagan and recession and Republicans I couldn't get away from. From the time I was about 10, I can remember turning on the TV (before cable was common) and seeing snippets of some weird, hippie musical. I was probably 18 before I actually saw the movie start to finish and it changed my outlook on life. It was okay to be myself, express myself despite everything I had been taught. Are you curious about what happens outside your everyday experience? Watch this movie. You may not be a hippie, but its speaks to the freedom upon which this country is based-be yourself!

Stan Helsing (2009)

Stan HelsingStan Helsing is a very funny horror comedy spoof, and I don't really understand why a majority of reviewers obviously don't care for it. Yes, it's stupid but that goes without saying; and, yes, the ending is extremely stupid, but that doesn't take away from all of the good bits leading up to it. I'll take Stan Helsing over any of the brain-dead Scare Movie sequels any day of the week. Stan "It's Stan, not Van" Helsing (Steve Howey) is one of the most likeable underachieving slackers you're likely to run across, his buddy Teddy (Kenan Thompson) is hilarious, and his ex-girlfriend Nadine (Diora Baird) is just plain hot.

It's Halloween, and video store clerk Stan has to drop off some videos at his boss's mother's house before he, Nadine, Teddy, and Teddy's girl Mia (Desi Lydic) an exotic dancer turned masseuse can go to the big Halloween party. Along the way, they encounter one crazy, oftentimes dangerous, and consistently comical obstacle after another. Eventually, they find themselves trapped in Stormy Night Estates, where Stan discovers that he is expected to save the town from the menace of six monsters: Lucky (Chucky), Mason (Jason), Fweddy (Freddy Krueger), Pleatherface (Leatherface), Needlehead (Pinhead), and Michael Criers (Michael Meyers). It turns out that there's some Van Helsing in him, after all.

Interestingly enough, Ken Kirzinger (who played Jason Voorhees in Jason vs. Freddy) plays the part of Mason. You also have Leslie Nielsen playing the part of a waitress, which certainly doesn't take anything away from the comedy of the story. A number of movies are, of course, mocked along the way, and I think the whole concept works quite well. I laughed out loud several times over the course of this movie. I know a lot of people are putting Stan Helsing on their lists of the worst movies ever made, but I hope those who haven't seen it yet will give it a chance. I think it's hilarious.

I believe that this movie was actually entertaining. I took it for what it was and you notice that just by off the cover art of the movie. it was fun and its great to watch with friends if your just looking for some laughs without having a story that has twist and turns to confuse you. i recommend this movie and believe that its worth every penny. Its cheesy and filled with hilarious punch lines that you could joke around with your friends later.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The only things going for this self-proclaimed horror film parody are decent production values and attractive actresses. The movie itself, which is not really a parody of anything but just a limp comedy, is dumb and often dull. The attempts at humor are usually mean-spirited, too, and usually made at the expense of the female characters (who the producers apparently want us to look at but not respect).

Look, to carry over the vulgar parlance of the movie, I'm usually an easy lay with this sort of dumb comedy: I don't need or expect Shakespeare. Just keep things minimally engaging, throw a few chuckles my way, and I'll likely give it three stars and recommend it for some modest home entertainment. Nothing wrong with something silly and fun, after all. But "Stan Helsing" is just boring (the supreme sin of a creative work, in my book) and eye-rollingly stupid. I'm guessing that comedy icon Leslie Nielsen is thankful he was only subjected to a fairly small role in this production.

I'm sorry to say all this, as the actors and folks behind the camera seem like perfectly nice people in the 10-minute "making of" bonus feature (though the script makes me wonder about writer/director Bo Zenda), but I have to call it like I see it. In the end, if you're looking for a fun little horror comedy to get you in the mood for Halloween, let me quote one of Mr. Nielsen's much better comedies and say, "Nothing to see here, move along, nothing to see here..."

Austin Powers Triple Feature (International Man of Mystery / The Spy Who Shagged Me / Goldmember) (

Austin Powers Triple FeatureI enjoyed this series of films very much. The "Goldmember" film a bit less but overall a very creative and funny pop culture feast! One of the big bonus's for me anyway is to finally have the original Austin Powers movie in the proper 2:4 aspect ratio after years of having to watch it on 1:85 on normal DVD. This may not mean much to some viewers but to those interested in seeing what they did at the theater it does. The other two films came out in proper 2:4 aspect ratio on DVD previously so why the original was formatted a bit off was always a mystery to me. The films look great on Blu-ray ...and while they don't have any NEW bonus features to my notice..at least they did import all the old ones and music videos (some blu-rays are coming out WITHOUT the previous bonus features).

I picked the set up for a price that came to about $15 per film so I think its a very good value.

Finally, there are subtitles for "Austin Powers In Goldmember" as I could not get Closed-captioning to work on the DVD version.

Note: Be careful opening the package as the set is shrink wrapped very tight and might cut the loose page on the outside that you might want to keep. (The real box has Austin Powers & Dr. Evil on each side.)

Buy Austin Powers Triple Feature (International Man of Mystery / The Spy Who Shagged Me / Goldmember) ( Now

It's hard to believe almost 10 years have gone by since we first saw Mike Myers' Austin Powers character for the first time. These are among the funniest films made at the close of the 20th Century. For the most part, they are chock full of sightgags and silly puns and give Mike Myers ample opportunity to wear funny costumes and try out as many joke accents as possible. Myers rises to the occassion each time out, eventually playing 4 characters at once ala Peter Sellers.

As introduced in the first film (International Man of Mystery), Austin is swinging 60s' superspy who thinks he's a lot hipper than he really is. Think Sammy Davis Jr trapped in Davy Jones' body and you'll have an idea of what Austin is like before seeing him. Also introduced in the first film is Dr Evil (also played by Myers), a cross between Blofeld and Ed Sullivan. If anything, Dr. Evil has even better lines and gags than Austin himself.

The three films primarily spoof the James Bond series. The first film has strong overtones of both 'Diamonds are Forever' and 'Casino Royale' but Myers goes totally bonkers in the second film (Spy Who Shagged Me), in which 'Star Wars' and 'Moonraker' are yanked in for a well-deserved ribbing. The second film doesn't break as much ground as the first, but is arguably the funniest of the three as leading lady Heather Graham is the perfect partner in crime to Mike Myers' Austin character. Graham is the funniest of Austin's three leading ladies. Unfortunately, the third film (Goldmember) declines after a very strong start, coming across as a stitched-together effort to wring the last bucks out of the Powers franchise. If the series has a flaw, it's that few of the characters seem drawn from life, rather than pieced together as parodies.

If you like one Austin Powers movie, you'll like all three to various degrees. At this price, this is a good time to replace your battered VHS copies with nice, fresh DVDs.

This trilogy is worth your money and will give you one hell of a good time. There isn't really much for me to say about them though. The plots are very simple and pointless but the movies are absolutely hilarious.

Mike Myers is genius and makes the movies funny because he plays Austin Powers, Dr. Evil and Fat Bast***. That's lots of talent!

Beware because if you didn't know, these movies are very silly and dumb but will definitely make you laugh your head off.
