Partner (Blu-Ray) (2007)

PartnerHey folks, I'm pretty familiar with Bollywood films & let me tell you, once you see one you're instantly HOOKED!! I love them! This film reminds alot of Hitch with Will Smith being portrayed by Salman Khan & Kevin James being portrayed by Govinda. Eva Mendes' character is protaganized by Lara Dutta and Amber Valleta's character is protaganized by Katrina Kaif. I must say pairing off Katrina with Govinda was strange, but he pulls off the silliness and clumsy humor well. Salman and Lara do a really good job and Lara's very convincing. The film follows Hitch almost the same except with a twist. Lara Dutta has a young boy and doesn't want to get involved with anyone, Salman comes along and just like in Hitch she hesitates to go out with him,but then she gives him a chance. I won't say anything more b/c I'll give it away. Go ahead and buy this film it's very cute. By the way if you love Bollywood as much as I do this film has some great dance sequences and music.

I wasn't expecting that much from this movie but it was better than anticipated.

It's close to the plot of Hitch but don't expect a complete match.

It is comedy that ran close to the edge of silly at times but didn't cross the line. The script needed a bit of attention and the movie tried to underline a comic moment over and over when we got it the first time. They could have finished the movie 5 minutes earlier but overplayed a scene to the point of Salman going into unnecessary hamminess.

Salman also had too many gratuitous shirt removals (and I'm not that impressed by that sight anyway!)

Apart from this Govinda and Salman were mostly quite good and Salman was dancing better and with more range of moves than I've seen him in many movies. Katrina and Govinda made an appropriately cute couple (if a little unlikely!) Lara Dutta was fine but didn't have a lot of chemistry with Salman.

The music and dance was contemporary, upbeat, and generally catchy and lifted the movie beyond the mediocre.

Most ratings on the Net hover about the 5 out of 10. If I could give this 3 1/2 I would mostly for the music and dance.

Buy Partner (Blu-Ray) (2007) Now

Look, who cares if this is a rip-off from Hitch. Partner is addictive and I find it more enjoyable with those great song numbers which are fantastic and memorable. Salman Khan and Govinda have great chemistry in this movie and their dialogue were peppered with lots of funny one-liners (especially from Salman). Salman Khan played his character so well you'd think that's the real him a bit naughty but so charming! Govinda did a great job as a clueless bumbling oaf needing help from the love guru to win his dream girl, played by Katrina Kaif. While Katrina Kaif provided great eye-candy to the movie with her pretty smiles, her acting has always been somewhat like a one-track pony kind and in Partner it was no different! Lara Dutta did a believable job as a single mom and the love interest of Salman's character. Also thumbs-up to the little guy that played Lara's child as he was great in certain scenes with Salman Khan. Overall it's an entertaining and funny movie great for lovers of Bollywood music and Salman Khan!

I just love this film and the music ! It's the kind of Hindi film that you can watch over and over and still laugh ! This also was a great film for fashion loved the outfits very contemporary and I admit, anything that Salman Khan wears looks Fab but he was on point in this movie. The music ( I now own the soundtrack) is great and the dancing equally so this movie is pure entertainment and if you are a SK fan...then you will see him at his best: funny, well dressed, dancing his arse off, and entertaining the audience. The salute to Hip Hop is hysterical...the rendition of " You're My Love " makes me laugh everytime I see the music video or watch the film. Govinda is great and as always his comedic timing is impeccable. Sajid-Wajid really went all out on the music !

If you're looking for a light fun Hindi movie this is it !

Don Juan Demarco (2012)

Don Juan DemarcoA young man believing himself to be the greatest lover in the world, Don Juan(Johnny Depp), is depressed at losing the one great love of his life and is ready to committ suicide. (But first must have one last romantic encounter with a woman in need). He is rescued by a psychiatrist who cares for him at a state mental facility. Doctor Jack Miglon(Marlon Brando) is fascinated by this case and takes it on, even though he is to retire in 10 days, which by the way is the amount of time "Don Juan" has to convince everyone he really doesnt belong there.

Over the next 10 days, as doctor listens to his tales of romantic adventures(and they are numerous),Don Juan charms everyone he comes into contact with.(except some of the other doctors who feel he should be medicated.) The stories make Jack look at his own life after 32 years of marriage to Marilyn(Faye Dunaway), and starts him trying to rekindle an old flame. So the question is here, who was curing who?????

The story will grab you fom the beginning, put a smile on your face and keep it there to the end of the credits, during which you can still listen to the Carmenesque score and the Bryan Adams song "Have you ever Really loved a woman".

The cast is perfect in their roles. You will believe that Johnny Depp IS DON JUAN!. Brando was funny and charming, Dunaway, glowed.

The DVD is excellent. The sound quality so good, the musical score filled the room, the dialouge crisp. Picture quality, color, and widescreen excellent as well. The Dvd comes with some nice features, there's a music video featuring Brian Adams, theatrical trailers, filmographies of the cast, and if you cant' get the music out of your head and want to hear more of it you can isolate the score and have the movie dialouge silent. There are also subtitles if needed.

This film may not go down in the annals of Hollywood history as one of the classics but it took me somewhere else for a little while and kept me there. Maybe it will do the same for you.

Enjoy.......Laurie

Maxie [VHS]

Don Juan isn't just a great romantic comedy; it is THE romantic comedy for anyone looking for just as much romance as laughs.

The movie deals with a mental patient (Johnny Depp)who believes he is the legendary Don Juan, greatest lover in all the world. Marlon Brando plays Dr. Jack Mickler, the retiring pshychatrist who tries to cure him.

After Don Juan tries to kill himself and winds up in a mental hospital, Jack listens to him tell his life story and decides how to interpret it.

The cast is excellent. Johnny Depp is as soulful as he is sexy. Faye Dunaway is perfect as Jack's loving, devoted and somewhat neglected wife. And you can't help falling in love with Dr. Mickler.

This movie is quirky, heartwarming, funny, romantic, sexy and beautiful. It will make you want to fall in love if you're single, and make you want to rediscover your partner if you're not.

I highly recommend you buy this movie and watching it with your boyfriend/girlfriend, fiance, or husband/wife immediately.

This glorious and enchanting film is one of my favorites. Johnny Depp is contagious as the mental patient who convinces everyone with latent, romantic hearts, that he is indeed Don Juan de Marco, the greatest lover who ever lived. I love Johnny Depp in offbeat roles. In spite of all the controversy he has incurred over the years, he still captures my heart, especially when he plays roles like Don Juan and the Charlie Chaplin copy cat in Benny and Joon. I always thought he would have been sensational in the movie, Chaplin. Marlon Brando is also superb as the rotund, tired psychiatrist whom Don Juan, the patient, rescues from mediocrity. Faye Dunnaway is beautiful as his pragmatic, middle-aged wife. Together, they recapture the spirit of youth and demonstrate that regardless of advancing age, fun, sex appeal, and energy don't have to be wasted on the young. If you love adventure, passion, and joy, don't miss this alluring, little gem!

This is a very entertaining movie. The cast is excellent and the story is quite a bit of fun. There are some short comings in the film, but who cares.

Johnny Depp plays a deranged man who believes he is Don Juan. After he tries to kill himself he is sent to a mental hospital where he begings to tell his story to his doctor, Marlon Brando. Brando is about to retire and he takes on Depp as a last case in more ways then one. Brando is seemingly having troubles of his own and in an odd way these two characters end up helping each other.

From that description, you would never guess it, but this is a comedy. So now that we are past that, it is the relationship between Depp and Brando is the real charm of Don Juan DeMarco. They seem to really enjoy working together. The diologue Depp delivers in this film is enormously cheesy, but he is so great he pulls it off. Certainly for Brando this is the most substancial role(as far as screen time goes) he has played in twenty something years. I find his role amusing and it is always good to see Brando having a good time.

Don Juan DeMarco is a fun little movie. It is kind of light though. However to me that does not really matter because it is witty and clever. It is definately a must see for Brando and Depp fans. People who enjoy quirky comedy should enjoy it as well.

Johnny Depp in the title role is more a Casanova type than a Don Juan. Don Juan only enjoys the chase; once he has captured the female, he abandons her. Casanova adored women, all women and found in them spiritual and physical perfection. This last describes Johnny Depp's role.

The movie opens with a gloriously romantic seduction of a modern day young woman by a masked, 18th century Spanish aristocrat. He leaves her stunned and ecstatic with joy while he dashes (cape swirling) to a building top to ---commit suicide? It appears he has disgraced his true love. Marlon Brando, a psychiatrist, is called to the scene to "talk him down." No ordinary stairs or elevators to reach the rooftop for Mr. Brando. In a memorable scene, the portly gentleman grandly rides to the top in a cherry picker for his first meeting with Don Juan reincarnated. Their rapport is instantaneous (Depp identifies Brando as Don Ottavio de Flores,) and they ride down to street level together.

The real world intervenes. Don Juan is detained for psychiatric observation for his delusions and attempted suicide. Brando, about to retire, wants Depp to be his last case. Their meetings are florid reconstructions by Don Juan of his history (he was even as an infant enchanted by the ladies, seduced a gorgeous unhappy wife at 14, dueled with her husband, was sold in slavery to a Turkish caliph and not too surprisingly found himself in a harem). Brando becomes increasingly intrigued and gradually their positions are reversed. He is learning from Don Juan. He wants this romance in his own life as well. At home, he woos the bewildered Faye Dunaway with the strains of Mozart's magnificent "Don Giovanni" in the background.

The movie is a froth of visions---it is worth the price of admission to see Brando dancing a chiffon-clad Faye Dunaway on an exotic beach. They are touchingly in love. Johnny Depp never once steps out of character (or his well-done accent) and you almost conclude he is indeed the real Don Juan. It is his genius to be completely serious and yet wildly comic at the same time. "Don Juan de Marco" is a film for the romantic in all of us.

Swing Vote (2008)

Swing Vote"Swing Vote" is a delightful parody of the American political system. If the viewer can put aside their credulity their sense of the logical this film can be humorous and generally entertaining.

Kevin Costner plays the part of Bud Johnson, a man who mostly drifts mentally, and

simply does not care about politics and current affairs. Bud is sort of a poor man's playboy.

Bud has a daughter Molly, played by Madeline Carroll, who is smart, peppy, and knows much about American government and politics. Molly is a pre-teen who has a serious sense of public responsibility. Molly cares for her wayward father since her mother left when she was very young.

A Presidential election occurs and, Molly sneaks into the voting booth and signs a voter card for her father after he fails to arrive at the voting station before closing time.

Then, when the election results are counted they yield a perfect tie with one unfinished ballot that did not vote for the federal offices due to a power outage. The one vote to break the tie has Bud's name on it. He, alone, will determine the next president.

When the news becomes public, news media, lobbyists, politicians, and curious voters descend on Bud's home town like a plague of locust. Into that mess, both Precedential candidates and their staff come to seek an audience with Bud to get his vote.

The scenes are a riot. Pressure groups and politicians come prepared to offer Bud anything he desires in exchange for his vote. The interaction of the many organizations is very funny and educational. This part of the film is a must see for anyone interested in politics .

I highly recommend "Swing Vote". It is a fun movie.

If you enjoy 2 hours of Kevin Costner acting like a slob and 2 minutes (at the very end) of his heroic customary speeches in which his voice cracks down while defending his less fortunate fellow men, well, this is the movie for you. Personally I found this very similar to ARTHUR in which the prospect of watching the part of a stupid drunk for a long time gets more and more annoying. I also had a hard time buying his wholesome daughter and after watching her Mom and Dad it becomes impossible to understand how she could turn out that wonderful. The movie itself is all one clever idea with very mediocre dialogue, flat jokes and lacking any surprises.

Swing Vote surprised me, it was actually a decently entertaining movie. I thought it was as well written as it could have been for a movie that is somewhat limited in the direction it could take. There were laugh out loud moments and other moments of pure corniness. Kevin Costner plays a great Drunk and uniformed father but I thought the special role was played by his co star on screen daughter.

The movie fell short in some areas:

#1 once again the portrayal of American politicians whether democrat or republican was harsh and phony. How stupid can we make our president look?.

#2 This would have been better if they cut out the swear words and made it into more of a PG family film. It was right in that gray area where I wouldn't want young kids to watch but it could have been a great movie if they hadn't tried to make it more of an adult hit.

#3 If they actually wanted to make this movie more for adults then they didn't go far enough and they made every single character except for the daughter look too stupid to even live life. Or was that the point?

#4 Personally the way the movie sums up is a little rough. But that is for you to decide.

Overall will you enjoy this movie? Yeah I think so but it could have been better and I think you will wish the same thing? Is it better than a lot of movies out there? Yes so it isn't a complete life waster. Just warning you though it is somewhat enjoyable you will probably wish for changes by the end.

I fell asleep a couple times during this movie because it was so boring. Kevin Costner's acting was less than stellar. The girl was OK but the movie was too boring for me to care. It all felt completely contrived. There was no depth to anything in the movie either, except for the final speech which was the only 2 minutes of the movie worth watching.

Really the whole message of that speech is that Americans (yes Kevin represents most of us) are lazy, ignorant, selfish people who deserve the politicians that we put in office with our ignorance and falling for their manipulative advertisements. After I gave it a little thought, I find this highly offensive.

Regardless, the movie was boring, bland, predictable, and I wish I had not wasted my time watching it. It's not HORRIBLE it's just not good.

My wife and I watched Swing Vote on Blu-ray and found it enjoyable, though not necessarily much more than middle of the road for the overall package.

While the Blu-ray touts high def (HD) picture and sound, the picture quality is nice but not much more than that as unfortunately there is just not much impressive scenery throughout the film to really wow the audience with. What is there looks nice, and there are a couple of what could be called scenic shots, but much of the film takes place indoors and/or is compromised of a bunch of close-up shots of the characters that really drive the film.

The story itself is cute but quite predictable election and family relationship comedy with Kevin Costner and Madeline Carroll. Costner plays the part of a bum that is nicknamed Bud, about to lose his job because he takes too much sick time and can't seem to stay sober enough to get to work on time and/or not make a mess by accident. Getting to work shouldn't be that difficult as his daughter Molly (Madeline Carroll) serves more as his guardian rather than the other way around. Unfortunately, like Bud's work habits, his parenting skills are quite poor and it leaves Molly repeatedly disappointed in his efforts or lack there of.

One of those disappointments comes when Molly is working on a school project that involves watching Bud practice his civic responsibility by voting in the national election. Bud winds up drinking himself into a stupor when he's supposed to meet Molly at the polling place, and Molly takes matters into her own hands (again) and sneaks into the polling place and actual voting booth to register Bud's vote for him. As things turn out the vote is never registered thanks to an error with the voting machine, yet Molly still has the receipt for the ballot. Things go more than a little crazy from there when we learn that the election is a dead heat with the state of New Mexico up for grabs, the same state that (coincidentally) Molly and Bud live in. It seems that even within the county that Bud lives in there's a dead heat, so Bud's 'one vote' must be cast to determine who the next President of the United States will be.

Over the course of the nearly 2 hour running length we see Molly and Bud's relationship warts and all, and we might, just might, also see some growth from Bud as his 15 minutes of fame starts to flame out leaving his friends disappointed and jealous. What makes the film a bit more fun is that viewers are treated to a total lampooning of both of the political parties and their sacred platforms. In the effort to win the one all important vote the political operatives and candidates from those parties (played primarily by Stanley Tucci, Nathan Lane, Kelsey Grammer and Dennis Hopper) make promises to Bud and steal issues from each others sides so they can demonstrate to Bud why he needs to vote for their side.

Sadly, while I found the film enjoyable, I don't think it would hold up to multiple viewings and therefore rates more of a 'rent it' rating from me rather than a buy it.

Family viewers should be warned that Bud's language is coarse and could be objectionable. Consider the PG-13 rating well deserved.

Last Chance Harvey (2009)

Last Chance HarveyBy no means do I damn with faint praise when suggesting that this is a "small" film. Rather, only to suggest that it covers a brief period of time (a few days), in a single setting (London), focuses primarily on only two characters, and there few plot developments. Briefly, Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) is employed by an advertising agency in Manhattan as a jingle writer when we are introduced to him. Almost immediately we sense that he is dissatisfied with both his career (he would prefer to earn a living as a jazz composer and performer) and with the current state of his life (he is divorced and apparently alienated from his adult daughter, Susan, who is about to be married in London). The title refers to both situations: Charley is advised by his boss Marvin (Richard Schiff who played the character Toby Ziegler on the television program, The West Wing) that his job is in jeopardy. After a very brief encounter upon arrival at Heathrow Airport with Kate Walker (Emma Thompson) seeking to obtain travel information from passengers, Harvey is saddened to learn from Susan (Liane Balaban) that she has decided that her stepfather Brian (James Brolin) will accompany her down the aisle. Of course, Harvey encounters Kate again and then....

The acting is outstanding. The setting is especially appropriate for what happens to a troubled New Yorker, among strangers in a strange city, at a time when he is running out of options in all areas of his life. Kate has concerns of her own but seems less troubled, probably because she fulfills at least some needs by comforting and reassuring her mother Maggie Walker (Eileen Atkins) who calls her constantly throughout the day (and evening), concerned about trivial matters. We know almost nothing else about Kate's private life, other than the absence of romance and few (if any) chances of finding it. She clearly does not wish to be hurt and is sensibly reluctant to become involved with anyone, even a stranger who is clearly unhappy, feels rejected, and in need of attention and kindness.

Five Star ratings of films should be reserved for "classics" and that is especially true of romantic comedies such as It Happened One Night, Little Shop Around the Corner, Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail. Last Chance Harvey is not in their class. However, I think Hoffman and Thompson are not only superb but have charming chemistry, the film is well-made, respectful of awkward adult situations with potentially serious consequences, and arrives at its happy ending with a pleasing plausibility.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I understand that most people that go to movies are in their early 20's and the movie makers knowing this, aim their films for that audience generally, but this is a wonderful surprise.

A charming story of people at an older age that have hit many dead ends in life but because of chance, they discover that life doesn't have to be done, there can be a future filled with the excitement that you might feel only lived in the past.

With the two great actors,Dustin Hoffman & Emma Thompson and a wonderful supporting cast, this is a very well made movie that I feel has the legs to stand up for viewings in the future and still have that same warmth and heart.

I think that some of the twenty somethings that might see this now and write it off as silly, could very well see this film in several years and view it very differently after they gain some of the experience and disappointments that life brings.

I really feel this could be viewed as a classic in the future,

For those looking for a fast-paced, ultra-modern, and formulaic romantic comedy feel free to run back to the bad acting, effects-laden Hollywood tripe so often produced for an unimaginative audience. If, however, you are looking for a thoughtful and surprisingly human story, then Last Chance Harvey deserves your attention. Rather than finding this movie slow and boring, my wife and I felt compelled to stay up past our bedtime because we simply couldn't fall asleep until it was over.

Yes, the movie moves at a walking pace--that's part of its charm! We should rediscover the skills of paying attention to a real story that does not require the aide of special effects and heart-pounding action. Simply put, the story itself is beautiful and wonderfully acted. Its true-to-life and a worthy addition to one's movie library if one has an eye for art rather than mere amusement.

This movie is wonderful. I have to comment on some of the criticisms I have seen here--if you are looking for belly laughs and lousy computer generated effects, take your short attention span back to your x-box. This movie is a beautiful exercise in real story telling. These two seasoned actors bring incredible meaning and depth to a movie about real things that happen to people in real life. I was touched by the obvious and not so obvious messages in this story and feel it was, for me, a much awaited change from the fast-paced, meaningless bumblers Hollywood keeps ralphing out. Very well done--and thanks to Hoffman and Thompson for taking me along for the stroll. I needed the fresh air...

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Very slow movie throughout. The plot revolves around a man, Harvey (Dustin Hoffman), a jingle writer. He is about to lose his job and has a difficult relationship with his daughter. He travels to London to attend his daughter's wedding and meets Kate (Emma Thompson) who works for an airline conducting research. They experienced an unexpected and lovely romance. The movie is indeed lovely but so darn slow! Although the acting was amazing; actually, it was phenomenal, I was still falling asleep. I can't help but wonder what this movie could have been in the hands of another, more dynamic director.

I especially like the featurette as it revealed a lot of interesting things about the movie. For example, I though the movie was based on a book. Actually, the screenplay was written especially for the actors Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (Unrated) (2004)

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron BurgundyI LOVED this movie when I saw it in the theatre over the past summerso I was pumped to see an "unrated" version come out on DVD.

Whomever was in charge of putting this DVD together yanked a huge chain on this release. I had expected the "unrated" version to be funnier than the theatrical version which I thought was one of the year's funniest movies, because in general, "unrated" cuts have been better than the "regular" release.

This "unrated" version skips a couple really great monents from the theatrical version, one instance is when Carell's character "Brick" utters "I ate a big red candle" during the party hangover sequence and they replace it with a joke that's nowhere near that great non-sequitor. Near the end of the film they edited out Ferrell's lines just before he picks up the phone in the bar (something about "once being an anchorman")which was more in line with the film's plot/angle than the new scene of Burgundy eating cat poop. A TERRIBLY UNFUNNY ADDITION.

The crapper of it is, the unrated DVD has different and admittedly better extras than the theatrical DVD release, so to actually get the theatrical cut(which is a better cut than the unrated version) the customer gets screwed if they want the better extra features. lame.

in all actuality this review would be 4 for the movie, and 1 for the way this fiasco was put out on DVD.

This limited edition version which is only at sale at a certain retail chain and here evidently features a interesting box with a 'diary' of Ron Burgundy and trading cards. The package has two blu ray discs with a unrated version of the movie and a made for dvd flick as well. I don't know if they will release this modern classic comedy on a regular blu ray without the extra film but certainly the packaging will be different after this edition sells out. Making it a collectors edition. This imo is a modern classic comedy, the movie just does everything right , it's funny and has great acting from everyone involved and it features the golden age of news anchorpeople the seventies, that was the decade when women really made inroads into the field and laid the groundwork for all the top anchors that would follow. The seventies too are always a great decade to have a comedy in, it's the predigital age (1980's-) and things were in someways better than today for sure, others not. but at least they didn't have bad rap music to contend with.

The characters are real enough not be believable too, after all the seventies was THe decade of excess and personal out of control freedom gone amuck. The blu ray looks stunning on all versions in this package. This one sold out at the chain store I got it at so grab this limited edition if you are a fan of great comedy and this one has quite a following because in the last decade it was one of the better comedies out there. And this one is without a doubt Will Ferrels most complete character and best work of his comedy career. He just creates a perfect character here which is more realized than some of his others movies characters.

I for one, unlike many reviewers here, thought this was one of the funniest movies that was made in 2004. People may pass this off as "stupid" slapstick humor, which is true in for the most part, but the basis for this comedy is genius.

The 70s anchor man is funny to begin with. Not to mention they poke fun at all the ignorance that was displayed by most people in the 70s. Such as littering, acceptance of sexual harassment, style of clothing, hair and a number of other corny things that we remember from the 70s, even if you weren't alive then.

This is filled with an incredible cast, and pushes satirical humor to the limits. Don't listen to all your idiot friends who says it sucks, just because they didn't get the satire. If the basis of the movie sounds funny to you, you will probably like it. It's a smart comedy. I know it had me tears.

This movie's comedy is not everyone's cup of tea because it's very unique. This is a very random film and it takes a real lover of Will Ferrell (and a person with unique sense of humor) to laugh it "ow now brown cow" and "the human torch was denied a bank loan." But if you like that sort of thing, then you will absolutely love this film. I did.

Pairing David Koechner, Steve Carell and Will Ferrell made a great cast, plus the addition of many other fine actors, although I myself don't really care for Fred Armisen. Later on, Ben Stiller and Tim Robbins appear in the Battle of the Newsteams, which is one of the high points of the film. Brick Tamland (Carell) and his absolute stupidity are hilarious, like the times when he is, out of no where, just holding a grenade, when he says the most idiotic things like "I love lamp" and "I'm Brian Fantana", and when he kills the "guy with a trident."

I personally believe that the dialogue and the "Afternoon Delight" song are what made this film. To hear Will Ferrell's take on what "San Diego" means is highly amusing. I love everything about this film, honestly. Ferrell's rendition of "Aqualung" by J-Tull was also pretty nice.

If you don't like random dialogue and you prefer a more intelligent comedy, don't buy or watch this film. If you like Ferrell's work in Talladega Nights (directed by the same man, Adam McKay) and his brand of comedy, then you will love this movie.

Lets be real. This movie is good, and I mean really good. Don't act like your not impressed. Will Ferrell is a genius, honestly. If you disagree with me I will fight you. Simple as that. I will fight you. This movie is rich and compelling. Bottom line. You won't regret watching this movie. Bottom line. I mean who cares if he doesn't speak spanish? He looks really good in this movie. He makes Sinatra look like a Hobo. This movie is also very informative. It could be a documentry. You learn alot about things you probably wouldn't have known before you watched this movie. For instance, did you know diversity was a old old wooden ship that was used in the civil war era? I'll be the first one to say I did not know that. I also was unaware of the meaning behind the name San Diego. I also didn't know that the germans discovered San Diego. Suffice to say, I learned a lot while watching this movie. Go watch it now.
